Marleo V 32" Fretless Porsche Blue

Marleo is the new bass guitar designed by Tuscan luthier Bruno Bacci. An instrument so extremely well designed that it remains completely balanced on the lap without the need of hands (hard to believe, but true!). All the construction standards of the Bacci brand are present in this new instrument: lightness, comfort, intonation and vast sound versatility. Also, Nordstrand's active 3 Band Preamp increases the Marleo's tone shaping possibilities.

Versatility & Balance

A bass of modern design that brings with it a wealth of sounds that allow it over a wide range of sounds.

Active Preamp

Active 3 Band Preamp System by Nordstrand Audio, with Push-Pull knob for switching the 800/400hz mid frequency, bass and treble. There is also a blend knob for mixing pickups and a tone for the passive part.

The Fifth String

Special mention goes to the extreme clarity and definition of the fifth string. No matter how low you go, the sound remains remarkably defined and perfectly in tune.

Fretless Ebony Fretboard

In collaboration with Dave Marotta, well-known bassist on the LA scene, comes this fretless version that adds a soft, woody voice to the Marleo V. In addition, an MM5 from Nordstrand is palced at the bridge, adding kick in the midrange frequencies for a modern "Jaco" sound.

Bridge

Our original Bacci Marleo Bridge, made from a whole piece of brass, is designed to have a dynamic response full of sustain with perfect pitch retention. The strings pass over the bridge, then through holes in the body, and are anchored in place by a hardwood block inserted into the body that holds the ball end of the string firmly in place.

Pickups

Marleo V Strings pickups are by Nordstrand Audio. This version features an NP5V on the neck with its creamy, smooth and fulfilling sound, and a MM5.4 Quad Coil in bridge position with the classic Music man tone—scoop, power, and zing!

Case

All Bacci cases are custom-made for various instruments and feature a boutique look with retro coloring and steel logo application. The look is sturdy and comfortable with an interior woven textile that accommodates the instrument while protecting against scratches and temperature changes.
